I finally built my first computer, and I have got to say that it is awesome! Please keep in mind that this was a BUDGET build so the parts are not the best, but it suits my needs. Ok, the specs are:

* Intel Pentuim E2180 (OC'd to 3.00 GHz)
* Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
* Patriot PC2-6400 DDR2 Memory (2gb)
* EVGA 9600GT "Superclocked"
* Rosewill 550W PSU
* 200gb HD (Reusing from old PC)
* Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
* Thermaltake Blue Orb II CPU Cooler
* HP DVD Burner/Reader
* Thermaltake Swing Case
* Light up fan, and case lights

Here are all the parts before I opened them.

Processor.

Motherboard

Memory.

Video Card.

PSU.

CPU Cooler.

DVD Drive

Case.

Fan, Lights.

Installing PSU

Installing Motherboard, with cpu, cpu cooler, and ram already installed.

CPU Cooler is huge, bigger than a disc!

Everything installed, all wires plugged in.

Final product.

Through side window.

There it is. Whole build took about four hours, plus another hour to install Vista. Didnt really have any problems, didnt even cut myself. What do you think?

sucks that your CPU fan blocks one of your DIMM slots though.... that thing is overly huge, rediculously huge even.

Haha, yeah that was my main concern with that cooler too. However, the Ram actually fits beneath the cooler. I know its hard to tell from the pics, but thats acutally one of the slots I'm using.

Good build.

The power supply isn't that great, but it should be sufficient.

Awesome! However, (this is just my taste) I don't like the way your case is styled. It's just my opinion, but great job with your new rig.

EDIT: Just on seeing a Pentium D coupled with a 9600GT, the sight made me cringe. Your processor might bottleneck your graphics card, but that cannot be helped and nothing can be done about it now.

LOL no the pentium dual core AT 3Ghz is not a BOTTLENECK for a 9600GT.

Looks nice mate, love the blue lighting. How do you like the Apevia fan? I have some red led fans in mine that came with the case but they don't really push much air. Considering buying a couple of those Apevias.

I really like this case. I really like the glossy black finish and simple front. I guess we all have different tastes huh? And I dont really think that the processor at 3Ghz is bottlenecking the 9600gt, like Spybot9 said. However, I will upgrade it later when quads become cheaper. :)

Dude there is no way that is going to bottleneck a 9600GT. I think you thought it was a old pentium d

There goes my purty little mb, haha, im ordering an arctic cooling 7, then i will def. post some pics of my rig, some people have already made the comments "your computer looks awesome" when I took some pics a while ago. If you can man, I definitely would suggest putting fans on the side of the case, thats what I did.

Same problem with me, I used to put my Antec P182 under my desk, after that I placed it on the desk and that actually makes me feel more powerful. Therefore, my advice is to put it on the desk!
