My first Pc build (updated)

Thanks for posting on my older thread, and to answer a couple of questions , No i have NOT build it yet .

So its good you gave me some tips on it..

This is the new list of parts ive gathered up ( since intell 775 socket was pretty much "hated" by everyone)

ASUS M3A78-CM MOTHERBOARD

4G DUAL KINGSTON 2X2 PC800

500G SATA2 16M

ASUS EN GTS 250 512MB

LG DUAL CD/DVD DRIVER

550W 2FANS CM EXTREME

PHENOM II AM3 945 X4 3.0G

PRICES DROPS DOWN A BIT FROM LAST BUILD I HAD...

TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK, ALSO THINKING ABOUT UPGRADING IN THE FUTURE..SO IS IT GOOD ?

Are we still talking about a budget of like $1000 CAD for you here?

WOW , tremendous guess...yes indeed 1k CAN ..parts over here are expensive -_-

oh and im going with the Antec 900 case

No need to get an OS, *** is your friend ;) We all know what is "that mean bad thing with three letters" that all companies are afraid of ;) Just get the free OS of any kind. It pays off more.

I get what youre saying , but for my own 1st pc build i rather have everything "legit" :)

Aw, okay then, but you'll have to cut on the rest of your budget then, which will greatly decrease your PC's potential :) There is no difference between arrgh matey-ed OS'es and normal ones, just the price :)

DIfferent colleges have different deals, my MSDN-AA is the best thing in life I've ever gotten. As long as I enroll myself in 1 CIS course and show that I am a CIS major, I get all this free stuff :P

Yeah that is a solid build. If you mainly use it for video and for some gaming it is good. Don't know how many videos you plan on keeping on your hard drive but after a few years investing in a 2nd drive wouldn't be bad.

Well i have an external HardDrive for my videos so that wont be a problem..

Video card wise the Gts 250 512MB , will that last me a while ?
