no you wouldnt have a real worry on upgrading anytime soon im going to call it right now and say core 2 duo will last double what pentium 4 did for the system requirements of most anything. and the rest wouldnt have to be touched for quite a while.

Hi I never cared about cable management on systems I have built for myself. I

always use solid side panels so you can't see in!!! :P Also, some of the bigger

computer cases allow you to run cables through holes cut out behind the motherboard.

Also many builders are going with SATA devices that require thin cables rather

that those big ribbon data cables that IDE devices have. Good luck with your build.

nice build :)

wouldn't worry about upgrading CPU or GPU any time soon, they'll be pretty solid for a while yet. the only thing you might need to do is double the RAM, and in turn upgrade the OS so you can use the extra memory, but since you already plan to do that you shouldn't be concerned with further upgrades for a long time.

EDIT - oh, actually if you're planning on using the motherboard's onboard sound, I'd strongly recommend getting a proper gaming sound card instead. like a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme. it will improve performance and the quality of sound effects.
