is having issues running Sims 3.

She said she installed it twice, and both times it it brings her back to the installation window. (she clicks on the CD icon that shows up when something is in the drive)

She said it never gave her a desktop icon.

I'm thinking she opted out of it during installation and is fine, but not sure. Neither her not I are the most tech savvy; I know a lot of the basics and that's it.

I've never owned a Mac or used one extensively enough to know of any shortcuts here and there.

Specs:

processor: 2.6 intel Core i7

RAM: 8 gb 1600 mghz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD 4000 384 MB

Software: OS X 10.8.5

Space: 750 GB SATA disc

..;..;I've read through the system requirements and feel that I'm fine there.

My guess was to do a complete uninstall/reinstall, using a program like revo (but need to find a good one for macs).

Any suggestions?

I've never installed it myself. Here's EA's guide.

If it is properly installed, it should show up in her launchpad.

You know, for all the talk of simplicity, installing stuff on Macintosh OS is fricking weird. Windows is really simple - just click the installer, then click "next" a couple times, and you're done.
