Go to start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information. Tell me what it says

A video card, also referred to as a graphics accelerator card, display adapter, graphics card, and numerous other terms, is an item of personal computer hardware whose function is to generate and output images to a display.

A driver is software that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or devices. Without drivers, the hardware you connect to your computer-for example, a video card or a printer-will not work properly.

SH1T, i should had asked you guys before i spent 90$ on that, i also bought a 40$ 360 controller when i dont even have a xbox just to play this game, so what could i buy to make it better? where do i buy graphic cards?

Best Buy has them. Do you know what kind of slot you have? I.e. PCI express, AGP, none at all? Do you know how to install a video card? I would, in your case, let someone else handle the installation process for you.

oh man, i really do not wanna tell you this but you just owned yourself. dells are near impossible to upgrade, and i think to upgrade them you have to pay dell. try returning all the stuff and getting a 360 if you really wanna play gears.

PC I had before the one in my sig was a Dell Dimension 8200. I upgraded the CPU, Ram, Video and sound cards and power supply without going back to Dell for parts. The rig I have now is a Dell XPS 410. Has room for 3 more HD's, 6 more gigs of ram (waiting on Vista 64 bit for that though), and am currently looking to get my GeForce 8800 GT. Most people that rant against Dell, have never had one to begin with.

Dell's are the most uncompatible and hardest things to upgrade, even RAM sticks are hard to install.

Hey man, return that computer, and build your own, believe me, it's easy!!! I came into PC gaming with as much knowledge as you did, and they threw all the pieces in-front of me, and it just kinda...came to me...2 hours later, I had a working PC that could play any game out there.

Most people that rant against Dell, have never had one to begin with.

And then on the other side of the coin, there's me... I used to own a Dell 8400. "Used" because, since I bought that computer in 2004, I changed a case, motherboard, power supply, video card, and RAM... The only Dell rememnants left are the HDD, CD/DVD and CPU really. Anyway, point is it was a !@#$ to upgrade: turns out Dell has their own custom case/PSU (I forget which) standard, so I went through hell to find a compatible PSU with that damn old Dell case (actually had to pop out the fan speed knob from the back of the PSU for it to fit). After I stuck an X800 XT in there instead of the stock X300 SE I had heating issues, so one thing led to another, at the end I decided to change the case (was no room for another fan). But turns out that the monster heatsink they stuck on my poor little P4 3.0 GHz didn't fit in the new case, so I had to change that, along with the mobo, and had to stick a new Zelman fan on the CPU instead.

Bah, worst purchase I ever made in my life. If you ask me, it's better to stay away from all OEM's altogether. Building your own or having a store build a custom comp for you is the way to go if you ask me.

He/she doesn't even know what graphics card is and now he/she should build a PC?

Go to the Start menu and type 'Dxdiag' (without ') to the search box and press enter. Let it gather info about your PC and then press the save button. Open the text file it saved and copy + paste the text here.

Okay, I do NOT recommend that at all. :P I woud advise you to at least do some research before you try slapping together a 2000 bucks machine. :)

Anyways, GEOW seems pretty demanding, and obviously your PC can't handle it. Solution: Do research, save money and buy a new PC, or go back to Xbox. :)
