Well, finally got my system stable though the 285s are both running at refrence clocks not OC2 settings. Check out a few of my synth becnhmark results at www.tgupdate.com If any of ya'll have a clue how to get BFGs OC2 cards to actually run at OC2 speeds.....holla at me! (I've RMAd 3 times so far lol)

What kind of motherboard do you have? EDIT: Nevermind. The bottleneck is your motherboard. The 7 series nForce chipsets have major problems running new top of the line video cards. Latency in the NB is increased when you're using good video cards... This may be why you can't run your GPU's at the OC speeds. The artificial latency code in the bios may not be slowing the NB down quite enough, so it may be overheating...

The 7 series nForce chipsets have major problems running good components correctly, especially video cards... Latency in the NB is greatly increased when you're using good video cards... Itd be SWEET if that was it. But its not mate. NB stays nice and cool. And the GPUS have been tried, individually, in more than 5 PCs of different configs.

Actually, it's true. Believe it or not. Your low scores are because of your motherboard, and the latency created by the bios. The temp shown for the NB is about 32C I'm guessing? Either way, the nVidia boards do indeed have serious problems when running new top of the line video cards. That's why bios companies included the code in the bios to artificially increase latency. Stick those cards in a motherboard with an X58 chipset and they will fly.... As for the clock speed settings, I can't overclock my cards because of my NB, so I assumed this was true in your case as well. If I only run one card though, I can overclock about 200MHz.... Anyway, try rolling back your nVidia drivers. Maybe they implemented a clock speed limit? I know that they stopped officially supporting nTune...

Well something is bottlenecking you. Here's my single BFG GTX285 3DMark06 result which I am not happy with, it's 4K points lower than my old 8800GT SLI setup. Link

You need to overclock your CPU, not sure why you cant run the gpus at their factory clocks though.

I cant believe people are commenting on the 3dmark06 score. 3dmark06 is terribly outdated and does not represent gaming performance. Take a look at his vantage score instead, there is no bottleneck there. Give us some benchmarks from games as well.

Yeah, I love nVidia's video cards, (ESPECIALLY the stereoscopic 3D drivers), but I'm really hoping that their 9 series chipsets don't have any problems. I'll definitely upgrade to the 9 series if they fix the video problem.

We're 50,000 light years from Earth, and the new transporter is limited to a distance of 20,000 light years. This mission is of utmost urgency Captain, and we should really continue on schedule... despite the fact that we will be tied up here for quite some time.

Yeah, if you use everest to monitor your temps, you'll learn that your SPP is actually closer to 50C at idle than 30C. Listing the 30C temp as "motherboard" is misleading. The chipsets definitely overheat...

Hi Geordi put the ship in slingshot effect. Go back in time. Give KyleGates

the i7 processor before he knows he has it.
