I ordered Modern Warfare 2 the day after it came out. I received it this past Tuesday, November 17. I have put a little over 2 hours in the campaign and 4-5 hours online in multiplayer games. For me, this game is IT. I love it. Just as in previous Call of Duty games, the killstreaks make things interesting and are a great way to WANT to do well. Also, the deathstreaks level things out when you are not playing so hot. I used to do all of my online gaming on Xbox 360, so, the matchmaking system feels perfect for me. I actually prefer the setup of MW2 vs World at War. I like choosing a game type then letting the game set you up with players. That way, you are no longer booted from a game that has reserved slots or no longer trying to find a "normal" lobby. For someone like me who does not mod and wants a fun and fairly easy online experience. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is spot on. I know it is just my opinion, but, even though I have been PC gaming as my main platform for only 6-8 months, I have been playing games for almost 15 years. This game is truly great.

-Thanks

I agree with what you are saying, but I had my doubts at first when IW announced that there would be no dedicated servers, but all in all the game is great and I love it.

I have friends who have it on PC, I have it on PS3, personally the matchmaking is stupid and I could get into a game faster choosing from the server list. I also hate the fact that I can no longer have "community servers" and grouping with friends isn't the solution due to the player limit. Having a server with regulars > IW.net imo. Aside from all that what I did like was the better balanced MP and the lack nade spamming going on.

The SP campaign was short but very sweet. The MP is a disaster... im sorry I disagree with you completely, but then again you mentioned console gamer mainly, which no offence means you lack the experiance with PC online in general and therefore find console server finding easier. I mean, a simple givaway there is you complain about modded servers... theres a filter tick box for "Pure Server Online" or "No Mods" in both CoD4 and WAW.

The MP could of been so much more but they had to go and mess with perfection. IW doesn't care about PC gamers that made them what they are.

My comments on Multiplayer. In-game, its fun, almost dang near perfect and close to as much fun as i have had on my fourth TF2 day (Epic all-nighter). Outside-game multiplayer matchmaking....eh.. its very unneccessary and i wish i had a server browser, and also maybe some basic commands like ADD TO FRIENDS LIST! (seriously, if this is a steam game, why is this not there so i don't need to search through millions of previously played people?) It takes time to get into game, but its still worth it for the fun I get. I think the real beef that makes MW2 good is actually only the gun selection, perks, and upgrades. gametypes are kinda meh (well, besides HQ Pro which is sooo fun) Gives you variety.

I don't really mind that much but my biggest gripe is that IWnet isn't consistant like dedicated servers.

There are times where I just get the worst runs and it can be infuriating... but i'm that this doesn't happen that often at all. Also it would seem that the PC version is better at putting people from the same region in games together.

On the AU boards PS3 and 360 gamers are complaining about constantly being matched up with people in the US and EU to the point where they all have to party up.
