(getting for 300 instead of 450).

So, there is my build, I am buying tomorrow, so just wanna make sure it will all work together. And I have one more question. The motherboard doesn't have an input for a monitor, so if I plug my video card in , it will automatically work? Or do I need something else?

Please, get a different case and PSU.

Those cases are cheap and can crack, and the PSU will probably blow out on you.

Is there any that are a little less than 100 dollars? I am on a pretty tight budget, I can probably spend 50, maybe 60 bucks on a psu, is there any I could get for that amount that won't suck? and can I use a 20 pin power supply with a 24 pin jack on my motherboard?

cheers

Well, there's the OCZ StealthXStream 600W, or the Corsair 450VX. Both good PSUs, well under $100.

To be honest, I haven't had experience with Apevia/Ultra products, so I couldn't tell you if that's a good PSU or not. The reviews seem good, but I would never go by just those. Hopefully someone else on these forums will have some input.

I know how you feel, that's exactly how much I spent on my system (sig), which was my first build. From the looks of the components you linked us to, you'll have a great system.

That hard drive is such a rip off...i suggest using www.pricenetwork.ca and www.pricecanada.com to check the prices for your parts. You can get a Seagate 320gb hdd for just over $80.

Apevia is one of the worst power supply makers on the market. They blatantly ignore specifications and put out consistantly sub-par units prone to failure.

And here's your Antec Earthwatts 430w which will ship in Canada. Hell of a good price too, especially considering CAD.

He is right, tigerdirect is overpriced (NCIX FTW). NO FUTURESHOP. Resist. Unless they have a crazy price like this week (ATi Radeon X1950Pro for $150). Get that GPU at NCIX for around $300.

Also I would get the Q6600 instead of the E6750. It has 4 cores, and performs better in most tests.

Do not buy the PSU, I repeat do not buy it. WATTAGE is not very important. Ampage is important. I recommend the OCZ StealthxStream 600W. 4 beautiful +12v rails. And if you are on a VERY tight budget, the Sparkle SPI 400W is an good PSU for the price (I won't recommend it w/ the 8800GTS, but it works. Remember, a PSU blow out can be hell.)

I'm not much of a MoBo expert, but that isn't a bad MoBo.

That HDD is really overpriced. I bet I could find one at futureshop for less. :)

I'd go with either ENERMAX or ANTEC for a power supply... and I'd get an ANTEC P180 case... they're really quiet and cool too!

The only reason I a musing tiger, is I find that NCIX has little to no information on their products. Now, about the PSU, could I get a 450 watt PSU, and it would comfortably fit all my parts without any problems?

Hey, I will help you get the best value for your money... If you can order the CPU in the next few minutes, you can get a Q6600 for only $259.95 from here:
http://www.anitec.ca/sale/pndayw03u76j3/

* Only 4 left at that price

I'll be back with some other suggestions priced better than TigerDirect.

Edit: just sold out... see next post for my recommended system...

$126.07 - Antec Sonata III Black ATX 16IN Mid Tower Quiet Case 3X5.25 2X3.5 4X3.5IN 500W 120MM Fan

$139.99 (- 40 MIR = 99.99) - OCZ Reaper Hpc Edition PC2-6400 DDR2 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-15-1T Dual Channel Epp Memory Kit

Add the Q6600 (if you got it for $259.95) and that comes to $1022.62 (about $7 more than your selections with much better parts)

If you missed the Q6600 deal, I would suggest the following depending on budget:

$286.99 - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Quad Core Processor LGA775 Kentsfield 2.40GHZ 1066FSB 8MB Retail Box
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=12200BD3212&vpn=BX80562Q6600&manufacture=INTEL
or
$217.26 - Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Dual Core Processor LGA775 Conroe 2.66GHZ 1333FSB 4MB Retail
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=12200BD3518&vpn=BX80557E6750&manufacture=INTEL

That makes the total $1049.66with the Q6600 or $979.93 with the E6750.

I would also add this cooler especially if getting the Q6600 and/or overclocking...
$21.47 - Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro LGA775 2500RPM 45CFM
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=10450AC4602&vpn=FREEZER-7-PRO&manufacture=ARCTIC%20COOLING

Also, DirectCanada is located in BC, so no PST if ordering from other provinces like me in Ontario... and free shipping on orders over $300... Nice deal!
