Okay, so I now know that my new computer has

4GB RAM
Quad-core processors
500GB Hard Drive
20 inch screen
256mg video card...

So? Does this seem like a good setup to be able to play video games?

Giving more specific information would help....like what CPU(Including model number) and same with GPU, RAM, HDD. Also what is your PSU?

probably not. Everything there seems good except the video card while I cant really tell what the graphics card is, i can tell you its probably not good. As the standard today is 512 MB of GDDR3. And give the name of your video card and your quad core as some quad cores arent as great as others.

It's hard to tell without much informations.

But It looks like a basic setup. You will be able to play some of the latest games, but with average-low settings.
