my ninja's havent been very good lately.. msot stuff ive found has been my own footwork.. anyway i got word sent to me that this was amd's goal.. and its once again true:

the 1090x anda 1070 chipsets, i feel are the proper chipsets for bulldozer. what i think happened was that the motherboard chipset we have now is too much of a chokehold on amd's cpu's, barely able to provide enough room from the phenom II's. we will need to see a chipset evaluation when it arrives. it wont have a pci-ex16 3.0 support but the way this looks amd will be offering FULL x16/x16 support for cfx which is something current boards dont really have in good supply. the 1070 and 1090 would be standard issue. it also has a much more beefier southbridge than anything on the intel side of the market meaning those who like usb 3.0 and sata ports alot to smile about.
on paper its not everything we could have hoped for but it offers alot of nice things that we currently dont have. it also makes it pretty tempting to go amd for things like FTP servers or mass data storage pc's vs intel. will it be revolutionize the scorpius platform and give bulldozer some more preformance.. cant say. but its definetely worth a watch and preferable over the current flagship chipset 990FX
