Sell? Bugger that - pick up a dual-core processor and a 7900GS/X1950Pro (total cost shouldn't be much more than $300-$350), and that machine will be just fine for another year at least.

Problem with upgrading the processor is that S939 x2's are almost impossible to find anymore.

Opterons are still aplenty - they're the same thing as Athlon X2 processors, only with double the cache and of a much higher bin quality. Yes, they're meant for servers, but that's only because they're basically the best of the best, meant for heavy 24/7 use. There is no architecture difference that will impact gaming performance. You can get the Opteron 165 for around $150, and it's a beast of an overclocker - not too shabby at stock either. With a processor like that (and a healthy overclock), and something from the GeForce 79 or Radeon X19 series, your machine will be more than viable until true quad-core is here and ready to play. It'll only cost you around $300-$400 to do what I suggested, and it will keep your already not bad machine running strong for quite some time.
