Hey guys, I just bought the most budget pc i could lol :). I bought an E5200 duo cpu, a gigabyte G31 mobo (I know, but it was cheap, and I think its the problem) an ocz stealthxstream 500 watt psu, and an ocz vanquisher cpu cooler, along with two gigs of ddr2 800 corsair xms2 ram. Well anyway I oc'ed the chip to 3.2 ghz, and its stable so far, but I've benn hearin I could get it too 3.6 ghz. Well anyway, I have it running at an fsb of 256 with a multi of 12.5. My temps at full load are 56 degrees celsious. I set the vcore to 1.22, and if I raise the fsb to 260, my cpu fails the stress test. I try raising the vcore, but it really dosnt help. I raised it up to 1.4 but no luck. My memory at the moment is only running at about 700 mhz. How can i get this chip to 3.6 ghz. Btw I didnt raise the memory voltage, and have all the energy saving features turned off.

3.2Ghz is pretty damn fast you know,,,its enough. Thing is you will need to increase the vcore and probably the FSB voltage to get to 3.6Ghz. Anyway what are you using to stress your 3.2ghz overclock?

Im just using prime 95, but the thing is I just let it runovernight while stress testing, and I dont know if it fialed or not. Prime 95 isnt on my screen anymore, but some other webpages are which Im guessing means it didnt reboot, and everytime it crashed it gave me n error before closing. So does this mean it passed or failed lol.
