For the past year I have been using my consoles mainly my GameCube and Xbox 360 to play games but I want to go back to PC gaming sadly my main desktop is crappy and upgrading is a bit too expensive. But I ahve a brand new laptop but I dont want to play FPS games on laptop controls so here is my questions.

Question 1 : What Controller should I buy for my laptop? (Links would be appreciated)

Question 2 : About the Wired Xbox 360 controllers do they work for PCs?

Question 3 : Any recommendations ?

Answers are appreciated

use a basic USB 360 controller. Be warned that some games don't work all that great with controllers. If you plan on playing an online FPS with one, don't bother. But any usb 360 pad would be your best bet on compatability

Hook up a mouse and keyboard. There are compact ones for laptops. Whatever USB input devices you have for your desktop PC should also work on a laptop.

I think you should just go back to a keyboard and mouse.

A lot of games are missing that little bit of auto aim that console games have. Be prepared for a real challenge. USB Xbox Controller works pretty well, especially with some 3trd party keyboard-to-gamepad mapping software such as Xpadder.

A mouse will suffice. I mean you'll just get used to the laptop keyboard anyways, so I would use that.

Indeed it should. I'll close this, and you can post any additional questions here.
