Hmmm its happening to me in the demo and full game,i have more than the
necceary hardware for this game, i have:

AMD Athlon 64 BIT 3000+

Radeon 9600 XT 256MB

1GB RAM

My problem is after i start playing the game itself not any of the menus, after a few minuts (1-3 most of the time) the screen goes black and than i can continue playing, nothing happens to the game of cource that it stucks again and again and again, now every time it stucks i get the message saying: "VPU has reset your video card because it stoped taking commands from your driver" (well somthing like that just that some words are different nothing cruciel).

i have thel latest DX (9.0c augost 2007),latest driver for my video card (the one that came out 2 weeks ago).

i dont know what to do,i tried to put all of the sttings to the lowest, disabled alot of stuff in the video options, disabled sound,di some annoying stuff that ATI/AMD told me to do and still nothing.

Heres a pic: http://img470.imageshack.us/my.php?image=91838749qz7.jpg

A 9600XT is more then required?

My hunch is that you need to buy yourself some new gear or do a clean format.

TIP: Try setting your AGP speed to 4x, that mich do the trick!

The video card's driver is conflicting with the game. Probably needs an older, not a newer, driver, but depending on which driver you are using now, to help decide which way to go. If you upgraded drivers fairly recently, then try a downgrade. If you are still running the drivers that the card came with 4 or 5 years ago,, then you are way overdue to upgrade them.

It's true that UT3 has a very low minimum entry threshold; they even name the atrocious Geforce 6200 as usable ! An 8500 is pretty puny, true, but a 6200 is loads worse !

P. S. I missed it. THIS IS OFF_TOPIC -- It's hardware, and this is a software forum ! Dang ! Sorry, Babe R., I mean Krall, of Course.

8500????????????!!!!!!! OMG! it has to be damn good optimized, but a 9600xt could be upgradade for a 6800 for a cheap price and its worth the money if you dont want to spend money on new pc etc.

Sounds to me like this guy thinks the higher the number the better the card, as in a Radeon 9600XT - better than a GeForce 8800GT.
