MYST not working on XP! HELP!

Are there any pacthes to make Myst Materpieces Edtion work on XP?

Are there ones for riven too? I would like to know so I don't have to buy new versions of the game for XP...

I'm almost certain that they both work on my XP computer without a patch.
Have you tried compatability modes? Right click the shortcut, click properties, compatability, run this in compatability mode (Windows 98/95)/

Hell I had problems running Myst (the first game) on Windows 3.11! Let alone XP.. lol

Myst 1 originally came out for the Mac only.. which explains the cross platform problems when it was finally released for PC..

I haven't played Myst 1 since that time.. a good 10+ years ago..

Played Myst 3.. ran like a dream.. no problems whatsoever... never played Riven though... kinda got angry with Myst 1.. lol

At least there was The 7th Guest.. :)
