Ok, so I stumbled upon an old laptop hard drive and wanted to hook it up and see what was on it. However, I have NO idea what cable to use. Here's a pic (sorry for the poor picture quality, it was taken on my phone):

Holy crap!? Are you really wearing an anti-static bracelet in that picture?

Its a great idea to ground yourself but I thought gamers were too cool to use those ;)

you be trying to use a floppy drive cable instead of a hard drive cable, floppy cables are smaller. also, you'll notice there's a square filled in in the middle, make sure you have he cable the right way round to join up with the missing pin on the motherboard/drive.

If its a LAPTOP drive, could be a more proprietary cable.

as it's a laptop hard drive, you'll need a cable like this to plug it into your pc: http://www.maplin.co.uk/ide-to-2.5-laptop-ide-cable-28724

I have to admit it's quite annoying when 3 of those are in your face. Kinda hard to aim when your screen is full of blinking red dots. And in a dark map like that, you're a pretty easy target for snipers when your head is covered with those
