Name your favorite turn-based-strategy games.

With Heroes of Might and Magic 6 in development, my interest in TBS games has peaked. Old-school recommendations welcome.

Personally I hated Heroes 4 and 5. I'm thinking about picking up Disciples 2 Gold Edition for 7 bucks on amazon...

I also hated the fourth oneout of the series.

either Heroes of might and magic 3, or Fallout tactics.

oh, I also quite enjoy Civ 4.

Heroes of Might and Magic III including all the expansions. Didn't like IV, didn't try V.

Heroes 3 and 5

Only TBS I've played, and I've only played 3 and 5

I'm enjoying King's Bounty right now. Got it $2.96 during gamersgate sale. Well worth the price.

I really shouldplay Armageddon Empires more. From what other people wrote, I seem to have missed lots of different tactics thus far, seems like a surprisingly deep game.
