Is at $40 US. That is ten dollars less than Empire was when it came out, but it appears as though the DLC units will return. So, what do you think?

"we made this great new game, now lets take out some stuff and charge extra for it, gamers won't even noticed how sly we are!"

So, they lied about the fact that Empire would require steam, that it would offer multiplayer campaign play, and that it offered up a complex and challenging AI.

The problems persist after 5 patches and almost a year, and they've announced they aren't bothering to do any moajor work on Empire anymore and now they want me to pay them for another game which will quite probably be broken beyond repair? Screw those guys.

Forty bucks for a new game on Steam is a good game. It seems likely they didnt spend any time in redeveloping an engine for this game and recycled that last one to save from development costs, as a result lower price.

Rofl, i got a kick out of this: Prepurchase NTW for 39.99$ get a free elite unit, and prepurchase NTW for 49.99$ and get free elite unit and free MTW2 to play right away. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM why does the second one cost more if MTW2 is free?

well, it's the imperial edition. It looks epic in retail, but in dd it's just add 7 new units. Kinda a rip-off, but not bad like the stupid special units edition for E:TW. Anyway, this is like L4d2, another full priced expansion pack that will be 50% off within the first 6 months

It's 30 Euros for Europeans, which is 20 less than ETW. That's cool.

I have no intentions of buying it. CA dropped support for Empire after adding tons of new bugs in 1.4 and 1.5. On top of that, their main AI programmer left, which gives me little hope that CA will be able to salvage the disastrous AI. So far they've only made it worse. Not to mention the Multiplayer Campaign has STILL not been released. They're also releasing paid DLC out the wazoo, so it'll end up being around $80-$100 if you want the entire game. CA has shown that they aren't trust worthy and that they are only concerned with $$$.

I used to be a big fan of the TW series but ETW has just been a big disappointment. No interest in NTW atm.

I am waiting for the day they start charging for patches.

CA had an AI programmer?

He left before Empire was finished.

They said they might upgrade Empire's AI to the Napoleon version.

"The said they might get around to finishing the AI by the time Napoleon is done" is more like it. Real pity. Loved Rome. Medieval 2 was OK.... Empire was a shower. Wont be buying N.
