whenever i ty to play halo 3 it says my NAT type is not open and matchmaking may be slow, and itr is. very slow. i was wondering if someone could help me to make it open.

i have the standard verizon fios router.

Make sure UPNP is enabled on your router.

Otherwise you could try forwarding the Xbox Live ports on your router to your 360, which should solve any NAT problems. The ports that you'd need to forward are UDP 88, UDP 3074 and TCP 3074. I'm not too sure on your router though, but look in the router setup for something like Virtual Servers, or Port Forwarding.

not familliar with verizon fios router but u need to log into ur router and look for those settings

Open up your router manual (either the paper or online version) and look for UPNP support or Port Forwarding information. http://portforward.com/guides.htm - check this out too.
