Need 3rd person Medieval Game with Non-Clumsy combat

I've been craving a nice 3rd person game thats in medieval times but most of the ones ive seen have clumsy combat. Gothic 3, risen, ego draconis. What i mean by clumsy is that, you feel its not too realistic. Let me see how i can rephrase myself in a better way. It feels awkward, it feels like you're playing Morrowind/Oblivion in third person which just looks wrong. Strafing looks awkward. I think i'm better off getting a console game for what i need. Assuming i made any sense, any ideas? I'd kill for a game that PLAYS like re5,dead space, or mass effect with a sword, games where you cant jump awkwardly. I dunno, itried.

I know it's a bit silly to promote a ps3 game in a PC thread but he's right. It's one of the best games this gen.

it's not exactly medieval but the best 3rd person swordfighting i have ever experienced is in a jedi knight game. so if you like starwars even a little you might want to give the jedi knight games a go, the combat is mostly sword based (well light saber) and the action looks and sounds awesome and feels just right.

Mount and blade: warband.

Mount and Blade isn't clumsy, in fact it's quite easy, you just need to practice. There is no better game for it out there.

How is Mount&Blade combat clumsy? Iv never seen a 1st person/third person game with as good melee combat dynamics as Mount&Blade has.

It's not 3rd person though...

I dont mind first person as long as it solid combat. Doesn't feel too Strafe-y. I checked Warband, is there a singleplayer mode? Also, it looks clumsy. LOOKS, DON'T FLAME ME.

Yes there is single player. Warband is and extended version of the original mount and blade. Combat is buttery smooth.

Addicting game. Not much story, more of a free roam/conquer everything type game.

Are can only control you guy in battle or in a city/villiage. The rest of the time you move him around on a map. It's an awesome game, try the demo.

Yet again, Mount and Blade. Best melee combat sim I've ever seen, and it's fun as hell to boot. I haven't had a chance to try Warband yet (too many other games in que atm), but I assume it's as good or better... probably better.

How has no one said NINJA GAIDEN. Dust off the ol'Xbox and prepare for the challenge of your sweet young life.

Dragon Age can be played from a third person mode. The combat is great!biggest_loser

In dragon age you there's autoattack, the only thing you do is using abilities. I wouldn't consider the combat great.
