Need a Blu Ray Drive

Hi, Im looking for a Blu Ray Drive to watch movies on, suggestions?

As long as it can play the movies well at full speed im good, im not sure what higher quality ones do though... is there a difference in quality in any way.

Im no good with DVD Drive specs... :)

EDIT: External or Internal, I don't mind. And i would like to be able to burn discs.

I'm looking to pick up an internal Blue Ray player this week and was just going to shoot for the cheapo lite-on one, like I would normally =)

If you're not interested in burning Blu-Rays, you should be fine. A few first generation Sony drives have a few issues with some of the newer encrypted movies... So ironically, avoid a few Sony drives.

EDIT: nvm, i think it does because it says BD-R DL.

I would imagine that drives could be flashed up to date for the newer movies, but I still think BD burning is too expensive for my taste since each disc and the burner are up there. Does the blanks have good write rates b.c Im currently using memorex Dvd DL and half of them became coasters.

not sure if this is still true, but it was hell trying to find a media player that would play blu-ray discs two years ago when i got my blu-ray laptop. i eventually ahd to get powerdvd 9, which is not free.
