Need a game recommendation

Does anyone know a game like GTA games? I'v played all gta games, The GodFather and Scarface and I wonder if there's any other game that's similar to these games, that you have a character that gets richer when you do the main missions, and you also got an open city.

Definitely Mafia.

Of all the games you mentioned, I've only ever played GTA3, but I can tell you that Mafia is way better than that game. Better graphics, better missions, better shooting action, better story. Just my opinion of course.
