Well, my cheap logitech mic finally passed away today, and I'm looking around for a new, more durable, better sounding mic/headset. does anyone have any suggestions to what I should take a look at? I'm not exactly an audiophile, but I need a mic that sounds good on the other end, and is comfortable. thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out here.

i can't recommend a good mic, but i can say don't buy the medusa 5.1 surround sound headset... it doesn't work. well, it does do the basic job, but the surround sound is a really bad gimmicky bit of technology that doesn't translate to a headset. wished i'd bought a senheiser pair of bins and a sepparate standard mic.

happy hunting.

i've just remembered, the gadget show did a trial of gaming headsets, go to the website and you'll get some useful comments. wish i'd seen it earlier.

Check out the Sennheiser headset line. I've got the Sennheiser PC 161 headset and the sound is excellent as is the quality of the pickup on the mic.
