Need a good role playing game.

You could also try Gothic 2 and Arx Fatalis.  If you don't mind dated graphics, also try the original Neverwinter Nights (which has a lot more freedom than the sequel), and some of the old classics like Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale etc.

Silverfall was a lousy game, too many bugs and terrible graphics, not to mention the lackluster storyline. The Gothic series on the other hand is a fantastic set of RPGs. The storyline is well written and the character development is fun. The gameplay takes a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it it is very fun.

As for other RPGs, there are the classics like the Baldur's Gate or Diablo series. As far as newer games go S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadows of Chernobyl, Jade Empire Limited Edition, or Fable the Lost Chapters have some nice RPG aspects to them.

Gothic 3 is the only RPG that has grabbed my interest in a long time. You feel like your in a living, breathing world. I can forgive the iffy graphics and the 3rd person perspective but the combat is horribly flawed. Shame.

Hi, iam looking for a new role playing game. I having trouble finding one. I have neverwtiner nights 2 and oblivion, but for soem reason i just dont like them. I really liked morrowind, but i just get so bored in them. I got pretty far through oblvion, and i was dissapointed with Nw2. So anyone have some rpg suggestions? Thanks.tbonejones

There are two games that seem to be right up your alley:

• Gothic II: similar to Morrowind, but much more detailed and complex. Puts Oblivion to shame.
• Arx Fatalis: possibly the best real time RPG I have ever played in my life. The story is only so-so, but the atmosphere, setting, and some of the voice work is the best I have ever experienced in an RPG. It's on Steam for $10.

I think I have the perfect game for you its called Jade Empire.  It originally came out for xbox like last year, this year it has bin remastered with added features much improved graphics for the PC only and its called Jade Empire Special Edition.

Its from the creators of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and I believe they had created NWN aswell.  I just prefer the style in Jade Empire cause its more simplified but not to the point of becoming boring at all the main thing about the game is that its got one of the most awesome storylines in a game and your apart of it and every choice you make everything you say will change the course of the game where as you could end up becoming good or evil and you can also be in the middle.

 Anyways I hope my recommendation interests you unless you'v already played it.

check out the review but honestly do not take the rating they gave seriously cause I think if I remember correctly they explain why its got a lower rating in the review then it did on XBOX I think they basically said that things like the out dated graphics or the fact that its basically a patched up version of the same game people played a year ago, is why its got the lower rating.  which in my case I never heard of the game before and also I was actually very satisfied with the graphics, its not half life or anything honestly I believe the graphics are perfect for this game.

Actually Jade Empire came out for PC on 26th February 2007 in USA and 2nd March 2007 in Europe and Australia and the XBOX version came out 12th April 2005
