Need a good sound card thats not super expensive, and that is vista compatible.

I want to buy a good sound card, my old SBLive died and my onboard sound card sounds like crap.  I have a decent set of boston acoustics 2.1 with a nice little sub.  What would be a good Creative sound card to go with it? and if I get one now, will it be Vista compatible when I upgarde?? please help I dont wanna spend over $100....

For good speakers, you should get a good sound card, so your best bet would be to either hook the speakers to the stereo or get a soundcard for the PC that delivers quality for those speakers: get a X-Fi ExtremeMusic

if your speakers are no good, sound card would be a waste. IMO builtin cards are very good.
