Ok, so I used to have a Nvidia 7600 GS but unfortunately it died on me due to lack of cooling. So after buying a load of new fans as they were getting ab it dodgy and some other things, I want a new Graphics card, this time a bit better though.

So I was wondering If anyone had any good recommendations for a affordable, PCI-Express card which is very good for gaming? I have about £130 to spend on one. I have Oblivion and all The Sims expansions that I want to play, and the 7600 GS could run the Oblivion relatively well, however I think a few cards higher would do the trick.

So any suggestions?

If you need one now a 7900 is pretty good I hear and Aria and Micro Direct and Dabs.com seem to offer good deals for this and the ATI X1900. However as I have been told, the new dx10 cards should be out soonish and would mean more long term goodness from them such as the GT8800 or 8600 which should be out apparently by the end of the month.

Hope this helps :)

I would HOLD OFF for a month and pick up the 8600 from nVidia. Waiting one month is nothing compared to the longevity you will get from the ability to run DX10 in the very near future!! Plus, it fits in perfect with your budget.
