I'v had a Deathadder since 2010 but its starting to get a bit wonky on me, been looking around at mice for the past few hours and its almost dizzying the amout of options there are. I hear logitechs new line isint up to snuff and also that the new Deathadders sensor is a bit off at times, also been looking at Roccats mice but never really heard of them. Basically im lost and need advice bad.

I use both the palm and claw grip, and right handed, and need something that will last awhile with a good sensor and decent sensitivity. Woulden't mind staying around the 50-60 dollar range but im willing to go higher if theres a mouse thats actually worth it, i was looking at Roccats Kone XTD and it seems nice but at 90 bucks im not so sure. Dont really need a ton of extra buttons but if there well placed and useful there welcomed.

I also need a mouse pad as mine is a 98 cent one from Walmart and need to go in the trash. Thanks for any suggestions, theres no where around here that sells these higher end mice locally so looking at them in a store is not really a option for me.

The AM has a /\ shape to it. The FK has a \/ shape to it. Amazon has the AM for around $60 bucks. Dunno bout where to get a good deal on FK tho.

Went to Zowie's website and found a place on there dealers page Link, they have a combo deal thats 78 bucks for there rough mouse pad and the FK so think i'll go that route. I really like the overall look of there mice and the fact that they dont have crappy software running in the background like Razers Synapse sounds great. Thanks for your help guys.

While im sure its not the norm it sorta put me off, but honestley is the Deathadder leaps and bounds better then the Zowie? Becaus honestly i do kinda wanna give there mice a shot.

I had a razer keyboard and the servers were always down so I couldnt log in to my drivers?!?!?!?! so Thats why you should NOT buy razer. (my experience)

So what is really the best sensor that actually works?

Yea, i haven't had a ton of issues with Synapse but im not a fan of they way you have to log in to it. Nice thing about the Zowie is it has no software, its just plug and play, the only down side is there only 3 DPI settings but i think i can deal with that.

Well I was about to suggest the Razer Deathadder (me and my 2 pc-gaming friends all su and love it) but I guess that's rather moot for you. My bro loves his Razer Naga and I'm personally looking at the Thermalytake level 9

I just thought I'd suggest my mouse, the Mionix Naos 8200. This mouse, aside from the great sensor is just really comfortable for larger hands, and the features such as lights and DPI setting sliders for up to five profiles is pretty nice. It's also got a couple cool features such as an adjustable RGB input for the LEDS. The one downside is that it doesn't have the small compartment for weights that many other gaming mice, including older Naos revisions, seem to have. It's pretty average in weight, but it's like a pillow for my hand :)

Probably a little late on the reply, but I use the Razer Mamba 2012, and it RULES! It also looks incredibly stylish. Doesn't have a ton of buttons though, if you're an MMO gamer.

I concur. My Roccat died and I needed a mouse so I popped into a pcworld and got a RAT3... Its a mediocre mouse. Best mouse I have had DeathAdder and the second best was the Roccat Kova+ both superb mise... Trouble is both ended up breaking so their build quality may be sub-par.

I use the kova+ too but it's not perfect. I'm currently on my second one since the scroll wheel died within six months and i'm worried this one might end up the same way. I also like the software but you can only have 5 profiles which is a bit annoying since a lot of software doesn't really pick up the extra buttons so to make sure they work you'd want to bind them to a key in the mouse software and then bind the control to that key in game.

That's exactly what broke on my Kova+. Never said perfect... I too had issues with the buttons not being picked up by some games in fact I have the same issue with my RAT3. I think my next mouse will be a DeathAdder again.

g500 is dumb though The sensor isn't very good(it's the same as the g9x, avago 9500 ) There's plenty of mice with similar grips with much better sensors, like the g400.(not the s, the s has horrendous clicking)

no the sensor is not very good, i tested this w/ zubin, performs best at 2200 dpi

I play at 800dpi because it's not that much worse than 2200dpi, but 5700 is noticeably worse. k1llsen, plays at 1000dpi

You can test the sensor by drawing lines in paint. g9x is a lot more jaggy compared to my da4g

On the aim400kg exactaimv2 test the difference is obvious
http://aim400kg.ru/train/?a=ea_v2&ln=en
i get 83k with g9x, and 86.6k with the da4g

another test is the exact aim dot, i get 144 with the g9x and 150 with the da4g

http://aim400kg.ru/train/?a=ea_dot

g500 makes 0 sense to use since there are plenty of mice with a similar shape and muchbetter sensors.

idc that much personally, I play w/ the g9x because it lets me turn since it's so small.

depends on that game you're playing, QL has so much turning, but for an open game like CS or Tribes Ascend, go with the da4g.

Still, it makes no sense to use the g500, so you shouldn't recommend it.

I use a Razer Naga, and I really like it. Originally I got it since at the time I was playing WoW, and other mmo's but the buttons are also really useful for Moba's and pretty much every other game.

idc that much personally, I play w/ the g9x because it lets me turn since it's so small.

depends on that game you're playing, QL has so much turning, but for an open game like CS or Tribes Ascend, go with the da4g.

Still, it makes no sense to use the g500, so you shouldn't recommend it.

where can you find the da4g? i tried googling it but nothing came up

How much better will this due than my g700? Keeping in mind I came from using a standard microsoft mouse since the beginning of time and when I got my first gaming mouse (g700) it blew my mind. although a little hard to get used to the shape I love it way better and I notice its way way better than any of my other mice which are just microsoft standard ones

The G700 is a bit iffy to be honest. Big & bulky with poor wireless performance and strange finish. When I had it I used it wired only with the battery removed for less weight. The old Performance MX was a much better mouse (not the current version). For shooters the DeathAdder will most likely be a much better choice.

SteelSeries Sensei RAW wired laser 5700 dpi.

I was using a Razor Plasma Diamondback since '06 (still works great) but lets face it, it has really worn out. So decided to look for a new mouse and saw this SteelSeries Sensei on sale. I've been using it since June and love it. If you can find one check it out, you won't be disappointed.

I am skeptical about razer because I could not log into drivers on the keyboard I had from them. I love how the g700 feels and I cannot tell really the difference between wired and wireless. Did you hook up the usb cord with the bluetooth reciever on the end and set it next to the mouse? I run the same setup though. No battery and wired. I am way way better on this mouse than my old microsoft mouse, would never go back. So if you can convince me that I will actually be able to use my razer product I would buy one. (cant login to drivers because servers are unavailable rendering the product useless)

Well I'm not going to try to convince you to use a Razer product since I haven't done that myself since their old Copperhead mouse. I went from the G700 to a Roccat Kova+ which I ditched really quick (atrocious build quality, even worse software, and couldn't get used to the shape). Then I got a Zowie EC2 eVo which I've been using for about 8 months. If this one would break I'm pretty sure I'd buy it again, not that I'm concerned because the build quality is good. I don't really like recommending mice because it's a very personal thing, but if you want a mouse that has good performance and no bullshit (no software or driver installation needed, no stupid LEDs, just the essential buttons, sleek look) then by all means check it out.

I've been looking at the Corsair M65. Seems to get good reviews but I would like to find a place that I can hold on to it for a bit along with some others. Coming from a wirelss mouse I do tend to prefer a heavier mouse. Anyone have any experience with the M65 or M60?

If you're still looking for one, here's a Logitech G700 review.

Affordable yet very durable and precise
