Need a New RTS game

I'm not the afficionado of RTS games, but if you haven't played Company of Heroes, play it. Love it. Worship it.

I love RTS games. They are my favorite! However, I am getting kinda sick of the one I have. I currently own, Starcraft 1, Starcraft 2, Age of Empires 3, Supreme Commander, and Age of Mythology. I want the next game I get to have a focus on base building and I want it to be more complex that the AOE series. Those are just too simple. I have thought about Knights of Honor or Seven Kingdoms 2 but am worried they will be too boring. I tried Sins of a Solar Empire demo and got bored after the first tutorial. I want the game to have 1999 graphics or better. I can't stand anything worse (like C&C tiberian dawn or Total annihilation) I also want the game to have strong defenses. I want to be able to do a bit of turtling. Not an excessive amount, just a little. Is there such thing as a game like that out there? Thanks00d986

I was gonna recommend Dawn Of War 2 but there's no base building, Dawn of War 1 is good, a little older though.

Get COH best RTS made since the birth of Starcraft. Knights of honor is totally worth playing, wont get bored. Also givetropico pirate cove a try, Dungeon keeper 2, have to tweak it to get it to work right but it works just fine with win7. Black and white 2 or 1, 2 is more base building 1 is more rpg.

The Total War games are great and more complex than AoE games IMO. But unfortunately there is no base building. Still worth checking them out nevertheless.

Majesty 2 is haaaaaaaard. Try that one if you want a difficult game TC;)

Lol if its complex base building you want, SupCom is the way to go, but I see you already have that. Thats the most complex mainstream base-building rts that I know of, I could get into some niche titles, but if you're worried about being bored, they're probably not for you. But what I say is give the games you mentioned in OP a go, and STICK WITH THEM. RTS's in my opinion need a bit of playtime to start being enjoyable, don't just try the demo.

Also, some people are recommending CoH, while it is an absolutely fantastic game, there is very limited base-building. But still you should get it, its a masterpiece imo.

You need to play warcraft III. Its a lot of fun.

Supreme Commander 2 is pretty good. Although it's on a much larger scale than most RTS games.

Just to clear any confusion:

Supcom 2 is garbage(complely ruined game) compared to Supcom FA. Supreme Commander Forged Alliance is the deepest RTS you can have today. If you want a true challange this is it, if you want to be bored playing something else.
