I am in the need of a great time killer. Starcraft, Company of Heroes, Call of Duty (all of them), Sins of Solar Empire, and quite a many more were great but they are wearing thin I need something that'll get me through 12 hour night shifts and last long enough until some of the great upcoming games hit.

So let me know what some of your favorite time killers are. Year or genre doesn't matter.

Well I have recently bought a box of all things Neverwinter and so far I am enjoying it. Maybe you should try unless youve played them already or have an aversion to rpgs. The first game is very good and the graphics, although the game is old, are still pretty good. Its is a very long game with a good story and since it is a cRPG there is alot of replay value.

Should go for a strategy game that has good replayability. Try Supreme Commander or Civilization 4: Complete.

I'd say for real time wasters (long games) try RTS or RPG games. Warlords Battlecry 2, any of the Total War games (especially Rome), Escape from Paradise City (underrated, quite a fun little game), or if you really, really want to blow a couple hundred hours try Baldur's Gate II

Try Morrowind Game of the Year Edition. Several hundred hours of content.

Play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The most compelling single player experience in a while.

Oblivion was awful and destroyed Elder Scrolls lore. And turned it into some cheese-fest where all of the sudden the Nine Divines are the Catholic Church, the emperors are infallible standards of goodness, the Oblivion realms are Hell, and Daedra are demons.

It didn't destroy the lore, it added more information on a different part of Tamriel which was Cyrodiil, not morrowind.

Oblivion is easier to get into than Morrowind is. While morrowind is a fantastic game, and I absolutely reccommend everyone to try it, it still might be too hard to get into for a newcomer to the series after what? 7 years since it came out?

It literally rewrote all existing lore about Cyrodiil. The lore prior to Oblivion described it as a jungle with frequent minor squabbles between political regions. Oblivion turned Cyrodiil into a peaceful meadow where even an Oblivion gate popping open next to an NPC won't make them any less happy or any less preoccupied with mudcrabs. And besides that, it bills itself as an RPG despite cutting out almost every RPG aspect of the series and making the ones that remained useless. Case in point: Leveling up is pointless because no matter what level you are all enemies are tied to your level so that there is never any more or any less challenge.

I like that better than in Morrowind once you maxed in Morrowind there was no challenge what so ever and the combat just sucks the only thing I miss is Werewolves (I know about the oblivion mod, but it's just a armor not the real deal)
