Need a small deccent Grahpics card that does not need a big power supply ideas?

Sorry if I sound nooby Im not a computer Expert.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz

4096MB RAM

311 GB

ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series

Windows 7

400 watt power

I think thats all my specs my case for my computer is also not massive the problem is I want to get a better graphics card but I know my power supply is rubbish and my case couldnt handle a massive card. Im also not so loaded so cant just buy a new case any ideas people? I really dont want to go back to consoles...

Hmmm..can you post your PSU specs? Most importantly the 12V max power output. (something like "12V1, 12V2 SHOULD NOT EXCEED 360W" on the label). I'm thinking you might be able to use a 5750 or even 5770 if it's good enough.

I looked at my PSU just now and it didn't say anything like you wrote but I found my exact power supply on this website that's has alot of info? http://www.highpowerplus.com/405.htm does that help?

Yeah, you should be able to handle a 5750 easily. Those will run you about 70 pounds?

Not too sure about a 5770. I wouldn't say your PSU couldn't handle one, but it might be cutting it a bit close.

That is a poor PSU but a 5770 should do it, you are pushing that PSU though. It does support the connectors, so that is something.

Hd5750/5770 is doable. If your PSU doesn't have any extra power connector go for a HD5670.
