realistically any generic keyboard will do but if you must splurge try the Logitech G15 or G11

Steelseries 7G, it's made to be fast reliable and durable, it lasts 50,000,000 keystrokes, mechanical keys and has no ghosting possibility at all

IMO gaming keyboards are pointless. All they have are backlights, usb ports or have the keys rranged strangely. Some times they help when they put the normal gaming keys together like w,a,s,d,e,f,... BUt overall I would save your money and buy a good mouse or components :P

I've never seen the point in gaming keyboards, they seem more like gimmicks than useful accessories. I'm sure that the programmable hotkeys that a lot of them come with can be nice, and the way that they tend to arrange the keys can make for an easier gaming experience (no more having to force your fingers pretend to be double jointed so you can reach certain keys). But I don't see how that's worth $100-150 for something that normally costs $20-50. Really, a keyboard is a keyboard is a keyboard. You could probably game just as well on an old metal clunker from the 80's as you could onthe latest$150 monster. The only big difference between keyboards is how pleasing they are to the eyes.

Gaming keyboards are, in most situations, not needed. I have a Saitek Cyborg and I love it, but I don't use any of the gaming features. It's just a nice keyboard. The keys feel great and it types really well. But again, I don't use any of the added gaming features it has. Having said that, there are times when I really like having the backlight on the keys and to be honest that is reason enough for me to justify buying it. Most of the time I don't need the backlight, but it's very nice to have on occasion.

If all keyboards had backlights, I would just get whichever is most comfortable to use. Luckily the Saitek keyboard is very comfortable, so that would be my recommendation.

Anything from SteelSeries is high quality. So you can't go wrong with that keyboard, but it is expensive($150). One thing from them I would definitely recommend is one of their mouse pads. They are the best I've ever used and have made the biggest difference for me in FPS games.
