Maybe not old, but if you want old gameplays refined...

Domination: Massive Assault like never before

&

Fantasy War

are both 2 very good GBT tactical games. Fantasy war remind me of SSI (love) and Domination reminds me of some games I used to play on the Amiga500...yet, they are refined...for the better. :)

If you really want old games...check for any title by SSI, they rule. :) The DragonLance trilogy is my favorite, but, anything they do is gold. :)

Cannon Fodder (1 and 2) (top-down 2D war game with a fun sense of humour)

Original Prince of Persia games (1 and 2) (2D platforming - genre-defining)

Theme Park (the best theme park-themed game ever)

Dungeon Keeper 2 (the best dungeon maker themed game ever)

Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe (the best future sports game ever)

Another World (recently got an xp-compatible re-release) (similar to Prince of Persia, only scifi and awesome)

The Myst games (my brain, aarrghhh)

I also remember loving Syndicate Wars, but I don't remember anything about it.

All good games, but you are going very old-school there mfsa! Most of those were DOS games and are 10-15 years old! :)

AD&D games - Baldur's Gate series, Icewind Dale series, Planescape Torment

Elder Scrolls III Morrowind - get the GOTY edition as it has all the expansion packs.

Yes, the first Unreal is a good choice. Tons of hours of playtime, its a pretty epic (no pun intended) adventure too.

I think Black And White 1 would be a better choice.

That and Morrowind,, And if you want to play some really older games, I would recommend Might and Magic 6 and/or 7.
