I play racers like Rfactor, GTR2 and GTR Evolution with my Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 PC wheel can I use this with NFS: Shift or is this just another game like GRID and all them other arcade console games just using a joypad? If so will it respond to the wheel like the fore mentioned games?

Cheers!

I'm pretty sure you can.

Theres the official demo release so you can see for yourself. If not, there is an option to setup a custom controls preset for your wheel.

Are you implying that GRID doesn't support steering wheels? Because it works just fine with my Logitech Driving Force Pro.

Anyway, no NFS: SHIFT is not like GRID, it's a sim. And yes, it does work with steering wheels.

GRID actually had a number of issues with force feedback wheels and controllers in general not being recognized by the game. Whereas the SimBin titles such as GTR and Race series have worked flawlessly with a larger number of wheels, not just Logitech but Saitek, CH, etc. NFS series has traditionally had similar issues with configuring wheels properly. Hopefully Shift will be better than its predecessors.

AS WDT says there are problems with steering wheels in NFS games and GRID and yes there still here in need for speed shift... NO there is nothing wrong with my wheel played GTR Evolution right after and it's flawless. NFS:S is an arcade racer and adjusting the 0-100% on the sensivtivity section to my wheel is a nightmare. There is some sort of delay I turn the wheel then the car thinks about it and then turns so from an enthusiast or real driving sims this is not a sim it's the same as GRID with better graphics cars tracks and sounds...

Fair enough, but from personal experience alone my Driving Force Pro works just fine with both GRID and NFS:SHIFT.

Yeah it's just abit of a delay steering the wheel, shame really would loved to have raced the SLR 722, Z06 and GTR Spec V. Might buy it when it comes down to about 10-15 but as for sims go will stick to my previous lol :)...

Grid actually support gamepads and wheels but it only have a predefined number of wheels and gamepads that recognize and buttons are automatically assigned ( some logitech models mainly). Even if your wheel/gamepad its not appearing on the options screens you can still assign the controls manually on the options screens and from my experience some work good good some not so good( my logitech dual action although not been recognized still works good after i manually assign the controls unlike my saitek gamepad which lags alot)
