I'm looking about building a gaming pc that can run all current games very well (I definitely want to play Starcraft 2 on ULTRA, Crysis, Bad Company 2) I don't know how to build a PC, AT ALL. I do know a little about computers as far as ram, HDD, and GPU. I was going to build one on Cyberpowerpc (i5, gtx 460, 4gb ram) for around 1000 but I wanted to see what you guys had to say. My budget is $1000 for the desktop, but if I can save money I would like to. I will need a monitor too, but that's not included in my budget.

Where do you plan on buying it ?? Is it going to be strictly for gaming or are you going to be doing any graphic design ? If it is just for gaming I would go with an AMD Phenom II X4 955 or even a 965. Get some G Skill 1666mhz Ram and a GTX 460. For a Motherboard just get one capable of either sli or crossfire incase you ever want 2 gpu's in the futuere.

This will max everything out on 1600x900. But if your planning on getting a monitor thats 2560x???? you wont be able to max it out with good framerate.

he meant the resolution

if you got money to waste, go ahead buy one of those setups, its a lot less stressful, be sure to get atleast a 2 year warranty though

Would this setup work? The total price of this is $976.92, and that's including the monitor. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119068 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148433 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236052 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131646 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127510 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171053 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148150 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808
