So I have always been into PC games just never had a top performance gaming PC. I want to keep the limit to 1000. Mainly I want diablo 3 to run flawlessly when it comes out as well as WoW and other top graphic games. Anyways, I have been doing some research and came up with this on newegg.com. The biggest confusion I have is i5 or i7, also which video card to get and is 12gb of ram excessive? I do not want to upgrade my computer for a while if possible. Please check this out and let me know if I need anything else? Am I forgetting anything? What is Liquid Cooling? If this is perfect for me? or other suggestions. I will be doing alot of multi tasking running a lot of programs and speed is essential. All help is needed P.S I only need a tower, do not need keyboard, mouse monitor, ect. Thank you so much! WoW and Diablo 3 don't really have very good graphics, the computer you have set up will defiantly run them flawlessely and max out any current game, very nice build. The processor is very powerful, weaker than the i7 2600k for multitasking but i doubt you will notice any difference unless you are doing some truly intense tasks. Liquid cooling is what it sounds like, you use a liquid to cool off your PC, mostly some sort of oil. You shouldn't worry about that at all though, you have zero need of it.

Thank you! I am so new to this building gaming computers lol. What about the ram? 12gb too much? Any suggestions to lower the price of the build? My main concern is that I do not want the computer to slow down while I have multiple programs running. Idk if it matters to mention but the monitor I have is 24 inch Samsung LED 1080p Display

For gaming 12gb RAM is WAY too much. Infact you'll actually notice a performance DROP on games having such RAM. Anything over 4GB is unnecessary for gaming and has a potential to cause FPS loss. Stick around 4-8.

Change 12GB to 8GB for sure. Even 8GB is overkill for 99% of things, especially gaming.
I'd change that mobo to the MSI P67A G45 (B3) which is only $124 and has a $20 rebate.
I'd also switch the 6950 for a GTX 560 Ti. Cheaper and better. That should save you around $100 before the $20 rebate. Otherwise looks pretty good.

lol wow and diablo are not top graphics games, most PCs can max wow without doing much (I dont know about cataclysm though I do know its still easy to max) and even though diablo has not even been released I can tell you for sure it wont be anywhere close to break any ground in the graphics department. like people here said, switch those 12gb for 8, 4gb is enough to max a bunch of games, but other games are very demanding when it comes to high resolutions...I really have not seen any pc maxing crysis or metro 2033 at 1920x1200 with 4gb ram. hell I even watched a 6850 crysis performance vid and the guy was maxing the game at 1080p and getting 45 FPS with 8gb ram, I have 4gb and I get 35-40 at 1280x1024

you dont need to go from 6950 to 560ti..560ti only gives you a btter edge on physx..6950 does a really good job for gaming.

as far as i know, here in philippines, my friends palit 9800gt got dead, has lines all over the monitor

since the distro warrnty doesnt have 9800gt anymore, they gave him a GTX 260 216sp for free, quite a nice upgrade if u ask me

so, brand? i dont really care thats why my 2x 570 is inno3D brand, NOT EVGA, asus, XFX, msi, waste of money if u ask me,

oc capabilities are the same! lol!

There is no guarantee to be able to unlock an unlockable 6950 and quite a few people have been running into problems some even have their cards dead.

There really isnt a substantial performance difference between a 6950 running at 6970 clocks and a 6970, just overclock the 6950 and you are good. However 560 Ti seems a better option but you should go with the MSI twin frozr version instead.

I would not get that power supply, get a corsair 750W and downgrade to the HAF 922 if need be.

You cant really cut down on costs without sacrificing performance and quality, you have chosen most of the parts well.

If your running one card this is enough http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016and this case is $90 cheaper but will still have 3 fans pre installed with the option to add more http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153This will cut the cost to around the mid $800 range

that power supply is only 550w? I thought I need around 750w? and why the twin frozr? also, when you type msi gtx 560ti twin frozr into newegg, there are like 5 models, all within 30-40 of each other? which one? I read that the cooler master HAF 912 is a very good case and will work phenominally for 59.99 opposed to the 139.99 932 i have in my build.... thoughts? will it really make a performance difference? anything i cant upgrade to down the line?

Go with this card, case closed you need not think anymore about it.

And take a look at the HAF 922, it saves a bit of $ from the 932 and doesnt compromise too many things unlike the 912.

The case is worse than the 922 but it's still a very good case especially if you dont mind non-switchable LED's.

As I said I wouldnt buy that PSU because it is NOT good, no combo deal makes it a good deal with that PSU.

get a 6950 2gb, its faster than the 560ti, there are no questions about it. The only reason you get a 560ti is if you really want physx or you find a really good deal on it.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161372

it also comes with a free game, Dirt 3

nvm looks like you already bought everything :P
