Need help choosing video card.

I was wondering if anyone can help me choose a graphics card. I want to play some newer games on my pc like Ghost Recon 2, World in Conflict, and Battlefield 2 without it being slow.

My computer has 1gb of ram, windows vista, has a geforce 6150se card, 180gb of free hard drive, and an AMD dual core 5000+.

The problem i been getting is when im playing it goes very slow, like the frame doesnt move. I heard from a friend that its my video card, so I'm off trying to find a video card.

I would like some recommendation of a video card between $0-$150. The best price for that range. I just want to be able to play it without it being slow. The only one i found is a GeForce 8600GT 512MB GDDR3 for $150 on Newegg and Tiger.

MSI 8600GT OC Edition 256MB,but if you have a powerful enough PSU,definitely get a X1950Pro.

You need to lower the settings for any resolution higher than that. i only got the 256 version the 512 might help with the higher resolution.

While those are cheaper, none of them can come close to matching the performance of the X1950Pro above. It also has excellent cooling!

Well, that most likely would not be able to power it. To run that video card on a system like yours, you should have at least 350 to 400 Watt (good brand) PSU with 25 Amps on the 12V Rails. A good deal on a nice PSU that would more than cover your needs would be Antec NeoPower NeoHE 550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply for only $55 after rebate.
