I recently got a Vizio 37 inch 1080P HDTV. This is my first HDTV and I am impressed with the increased detail on my PS3 games. I however have one issue. When I play certain games such as Call of Duty, Uncharted and Final Fantasy XIII, the music is to loud.I cant hear what the characters are saying unless I have subtitles. Is there anyway I can somehow adjust the sound so that the dialogue can stand out better and not the music? I am using an HDMI cord with my PS3. Thanks in advance.

Does the TV have any voice enhancement options in the menu? WaW had it so that you could adjust the music and voices and sound effects to different levels, which was great. It's strange that MW2 only has one master volume slider.

Check to see if there's an option like "virtual surround sound" or something similar. If that is enabled, it can be trying to simulate surround sound and forcing the tv speakers to be the front or rear surround instead of the center channel (where there tends to be voice).

If it's only certain games, then check for similar options in those particular games.

The only thing under audio settings from the tv menu is to set the sound at a different type such as rock, pop, classic and flat. The default setting is flat. I will go ahead and try each of these settings out and maybe I will find a balance.

Usually in the game itself, if you got to options you can control audio like SFX, talking sounds, and stuff like that so if the background music is too loud and you can't hear what they are say then either turn up the talking option or turn down the background sound or both

In such instances with games, just select mono mode for the game.... and put the reciever to 5 or 7 speaker stereo mode.
