Choosing between customized computers, I want the alienware because I trust the company and the hardware but HP seems to be giving me a cheaper, but better deal.

HP Computer:

HP m9200t

Operating system
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)

Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad processor Q9300
Memory
3GB DDR2-800MHz dual channel SDRAM (2x1024,2x512)
Graphics Card

512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT, 2 DVI, TV-Out

Hard Drive
500GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive

Price: $1179.99

===========

Alienware Computer:

Alienware Aurora™

Processor:
AMD® Athlon™ X2 6400+ 3.2GHz Dual Core 2 x 1MB L2 Cache

Power Supply: Alienware® 750 Watt Multi-GPU Approved Power Supply

Graphics Processor: Single Graphics Card - 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9600 GT – Superclocked!

Memory: 3GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 2 x 1024MB + 2 x 512MB

Motherboard: Alienware® Approved Asus AMD® 790FX Motherboard

Price: $1,239.99

=======

I mean sure, for a good 70 or so dollars less, the HP gives me double the Harddrive space, a QUAD core processor, equal RAM, and a GPU that is pretty much the same in terms of game-playing ability. But on the other hand I am not so sure about buying an HP computer, and the Alienware does include some great features the HP has nothing close to.

What would you choose?

Personally, I'd build a new rig. But if you're focused on one or the other, I'd go with HP. In an extremely rare case, the Alienware is cheaper than competition, but HP would be a better deal.

Dude, it has only been seven minutes, have some patience.

But based on the specs, I would go with the HP.

Hp sounds better for sure but why you dont think about building one your self.. Its not that hard, and you will either save money or get better overall system with the same money you are spending now
