I'm really not looking to spend more than that right now, so between these two which would be better?

Having had a look at few bench marks for the 660 and 7850, i would have to suggest the 660. In general it seems to be faster, and will also give you the benefits of physx if you so desire, and in this case comes with a free $50 game. However, the OC on the 7950 may give it the edge, without finding specific bench marks it is difficult to tell...................overal for the additional bells and whistle and no clear fps winner i would choose the 660 i think..............

I'd pick 660 since i like nvidia's software, they benchmark pretty much the same.

I'm upgrading from a 9800 GTX+ so I'm sure I'll be pleased with either one of these. I just wasn't sure if one of these is more than just a little better than the other.

Whats the rest of your rig? Dont want to get a decent GPU in an old machine or it will likely just be held back in some games.

the 660 is garbo.

MSI 7850 good choice. I am actually impressed. You didn't like an XFX or Sapphire.

I ended up getting the 660 lol. I originally had the 7850 in my shopping cart and had my mouse hovering over the submit order button, but I did a little more research and more people seemed to be recommending the 660. I know it's not a top of the line card or brand for that matter, but I'm really not looking for top of the line. As I said, I'm upgrading from a 9800 GTX+ so I would've been happy with either of these.

Ok, thanks. I wanted to pound my head against the wall when I made the purchase and then noticed that comment.

No jakes is a terrible troll that bashes everything for no reason. I would pick 660 over 7850 anyday.

Don't listen to anything that guy says all he does it troll. The 660 is a great card and you will definitely be happy with it since your upgrading from a 9800. Good luck!

Thanks again, everyone! It's nice when people will actaully take a second to help and give you thier opinion instead of telling someone to go to google.

Both are pretty good cards either way. The only thing that really matters is if you're happy with your purchase, and that's it. As far as them not being the top of the line cards ? I'd say they're close enough to the top.
