I'm just kidding.  I am not looking for a gaming rig for under $300.  Just wanted to start a discussion with some people to see if anyone else is tired of post asking for help picking a gaming computer for a certain amount of money.  If you can't log onto newegg.com and put together all the necessary parts for a computer then add them up to find a total then you shouldnt be building a computer.

I also like it when someone asks you if "this is a good computer for gaming?" and you tell them that it is out of date and needs a better graphics card and they say "im not made of money".  I have news for them, Gaming computers are NOT cheap.  If you want something good you are going to have to pay for it.

I dont mind helping someone new to pc gaming but when there are lots of people wanting a $500-700 gaming pc.  its a little hard to help them out (that is if they are starting with nothing).

People all have to start somewhere, and since the old PC thread is no longer a sticky, and the new one isn't quite as easy-to-use as the old one, we're bound to see a lot of those sorts of posts. I agree that it would be nice if people at least put forth the effort to virtually assemble one though - or at the absolute very least give us a budget, parts they don't need, and what the PC is going to be used for.
