I had boughten this HP computer from Best Buy atleast 7 months ago. I'm Looking to upgrade to a good video card that will go with my computer. I am just wondering what the best upgrade would be without having to get a new power supply or anything else. Just want a new card atm. Current specs:

While I am sure we would all like to help, the hardware section is likely to give you a much better idea, and advice then we can.

but might aswell say: a better PSU and a GF 460 1GB model, will be really great :P

On the hardware forum they can likely give you the better details, and what PSU you are going to need, and if any card is better then this, for your budget.

my weapon of choice for this task:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125304&cm_re=gt_240-_-14-125-304-_-Product

however if your willing to spend more and get a new psu then your options go up from here.. tops your looking at an hd 5750

It's not bad but i would like to stay with ATI.

P.S the hardware forums are dead and have no replys.

The hardware forum is not dead. 300W is too little for any decent card, you'll have to upgrade it. It really isn't that hard, When you get a new PSU, look where the old wires are connected to, unplug them and put the new ones in straight away, so you know where everything goes.

Then why don't you just go on ATI site and look for a GPU that wont take more than 300W - the top you can do with that low end power supply is going for HD4550 - just change your supply for a 650W and go even on your wildest dream for a HD5970

Get a PSU at 500W or more, then buy a HD 5770.

I personally agree with what most here recommended which is uprade the PSU first. One caveat of that is first making sure that motherboard can actually take a more powerful PSU (either HP or 3rd party) and that the PSU will fit into the OEM case. I've seen quite a few OEM cases and a few DIY (including my Aspire X-Cruiser) where a new PSU was a tight fit (partially blocked the top fan).

If you want to stick with the current 300w PSU, then you'll have to research which video cards have low enough power requirements. A good place to start is newegg.com which list power requirements of video cards. As for how good those video cards will be, there are many sites that benchmark those cards. A short Google search is all it takes.

One thing I would look into FIRST: Does the card PHYSICALLY FIT inside that CASE ???
