Im planning on getting a e8400 soon and I need a new motherboard to go along with it I was thinking of getting the evga 780i for $250 but I don't ever plan to use SLi so it seems like a big waste I just want a good motherboard which can oc well too..also is pci express 2.0 really worth it at all?

Where do you live first off? If we know this then we may be able to tell you where you can go to try and find a mobo.

I assume that this pc is a intel and if so then that is great cause I have heard that intel is better then amd at the moment.

Anyways the interesting part of this is that you and me both are in the same boat so to speak. That is if you are looking at a intel. I my self am looking into that cpu and I my self am haveing a bit trouble of figuring out wich mobo will this cpu fit in.

How much money are you willing to spend on a mobo. Me I plan to or I should say I'm looking in the 74.00 to 99.00 range mobos and for me sence I live in the U.S. I have been looking at newegg for my parts.

I'm not sure if it is worth getting a 2.0 pci-e mobo but most people would say yes if you can afford such a thing.

People would say go for the p45 and p43 mobos if you can but if you can't then the p35 would do fine. I'm glad that you came up with this question cause I was about to as the same thing and so I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if any one has answered your question.

Which I hope they do answer yours cause it seem like so far nobody has bother to answer mine.
