Im using a Logitech MX Performance mouse, which has become basically unusable due too the double clicking issue, and the left click not holding. I love the feel of this mouse but apparently no receipt means no replacement or repairs, and seeing as this is my 3rd logitech too fail on me with the exact same problem I may steer clear of picking up another unless convinced they can be reliable.

Iv been looking at the "CM Storm Inferno" and "CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO-G" but from what Iv read they have problems with their software on win7 64bit OS's. Id really like too pick something up which will last me more then 12 months, hell I wish I could pick something up that would last forever like they used too. Im really tired of having too buy something new because of the exact same problem. I use my PC everyday, mostly for gaming which is why I would like too find something with a similar or better button layout as the MX Performance. Iv got a price limit of $100 Aus.

So if anyone has any suggestions, or experience with the ones Iv mentioned Id love too hear it. Im really going too do my research this time around, and hopefully this will be the last mouse I need too buy for the next few years.

I've got the RAT 5, it has great software, great range of dpi's, very comfy, programmable buttons are useful, it's length and weight adjustable, has a braided USB cord, side scroll, "sniper" button it's all great stuff and cost me £35 GBP which is 56 AUSD, so probably about $60-70 retail?

I have had the Storm Inferno now for a couple of weeks and I haven't had any problems with the software & win 7. I have also had a Logitech G9x which is an excellent mouse, but I don't know if that is within your price range (here in the states it is about $80 while the Inferno is $60). I've heard good things about the Razer DeathAdder.

I am using a 3 dollar mouse. Has been going solid for 6 years. Though the left click is starting to malfunction and does not register sometime.

Iv had abit of good luck, I figured I would give the place I purchased my mouse from a call one more time just too see if I could get a replacement, even though I was told afew months back that they wouldn't. So anyway, gave them a call, explained the issue, and that I lost my receipt. They told me too go into the shop and try getting them too look up past sales so they could maybe print out a new one, if they could find my purchase. I wasnt really expecting anything too come up seeing as i bought the mouse 12 months ago and could not remember the exact date. But I went in anyway, and they offered me a gift card for the store instead of a replacement. Stupid thing was the gift card was for the same value of the mouse, so I just bought a new one with that.

Im amazed that this couldnt have been done months ago, and was instead told without a receipt they couldnt do anything. I guess it goes too show if you're polite and co-operative you'll rarely get anywhere, when it comes too refunds at least. Now I just have too hope this mouse doesnt do the same thing again in 12 months time.
