Need help picking out mobo and cpu to replace amd +3000

I also need a pci-e slot and by the way...do i need to install some software with the new mobo and cpu or what

also i want a cheap mobo cpu combo but i dont know which one to pick

for mobo i wont say a thing, but i would buy a e8400 or if you wanna go quad q6600

Cheap? not sure what u mean by that but the Asus p5n-d and E8400 combo would be about 400 dollars canadian probably a bit cheaper in the states. would give great performance and its SLI ready

Id get an AMD x2 5000 black edition ($100) + a good CPU heatsink ($30), plus a gigabyte or asus mobo for atleast $80, perfribly something that is 100-120$.

yes buy the AMD 5000 black edition

for the mobo

buy the ASUS M3A 770 board

and for the heatsink buy the arctic cooling freezer 64 pro for 20 bucks on newegg
