need help real quick

I got an email from a friend that has a link with a virus on it. I had no idea because I talk to that person all the time on email.

I immediately shut down my computer because it looked like it was downloading something, and it didnt let me shut firefox.

but now everytime I open firefox it leads me back to that page with that download is there anyway I can clear that history so it goes back to the main bookmarked page wihtout opening firefox?

try CCleaner, it wipes history and cookies and stuff
