Need help using WIRED xbox 360 controller on vista 64bit!!!

title. please help, I cant locate drivers anywhere, only for XP.

I thought Vista automaticlly reconized and installed drivers for the 360 controller. Well, it's been a while so maybe I'm wrong...

You shouldn't need drivers. I have Vista 64 and a wired controller. I simply plugged it in and it installed the drivers. I don't even need to configure it in games... Even Crysis was set up. It's amazing, really. Make sure you're not using a plug and play charge kit, because only wired controllers will work w/o the wireless adapter.

plug and play, most games these days even show the menu options like you were playing on xbox 360 if you plug it in.
