First, my intentions for this build~
I wish to be able to play demanding games such as the Crysis and Stalker series at max (only 2xAA) at 1440x900 on a 19'' monitor. I am running XP 32-bit.

Secondly, here are some further notes about the build~
I have absolutely no intention of using more than 1 GPU at any time with this build. I don't particularly care for overclocking and have had unsatisfying results/failures in the past, so any overclocking that I do with this build will be safe and slight.

Here are the bits and pieces I already own and do not need to improve~
Hard drive, monitor, case, speakers, sound card (I use onboard sound), mouse, keyboard, dvd drive.

Alright here are my proposed parts~
GPU, gtx460

CPU, Athlon II x3 440

Mobo+PSU combo, total $100 shipped- http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.481560

RAM

I chose a 2GB RAM kit because I'm running XP 32-bit.

I just need to know if the RAM,mobo, and CPU are completely compatible. I'd also like to hear about any other RAM selections you think would fit my build well as long as its in a similar price range. Any insights you can provide about the list I've given will be helpful.

Thanks :)

MB and CPU are both AM3 socket. Memory's on the ASUS approved vendors list for that Mb. I'd say you're good to go. Nice find on that combo - Saved yourself a bit of money and got a decent Mb and a modular PSU.
