I can get 7.1 surround to work with Team Fortress 2 but not with Half Life 2 (Every time I go to set the audio as 7.1 in the options menu it reverts back to "2 speakers"). Any one know what might cause this. I have TekNmotion Pulsar SX headphones and have installed the drivers that come with it and set it up with 7.1 in the control panel. Also I am running windows vista 32 bit. Any one know possible sollutions? Thanks.

Is your soundcard a soundblaster model?

I recommend the latest version of Creative ALchemy. Here's a link bud:

http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=10632

Once Creative ALchemy is installed run the software and follow this guide: http://connect.creativelabs.com/alchemy/Lists/Games/AllItems.aspx Scroll down until you see "Source Engine Games Set 1". The ALchemy settings for Half Life 2 should then be manually input and the problem will be fixed.

I also recommend the latest version of openAL: http://connect.creativelabs.com/developer/Wiki/OpenAL%20Installer%20for%20Windows.aspx

You can also try the PC Hardware forum for more answers to your problem. There are many people there that would be glad to help. Cheers!

I think the first link you gave me is taking me to the wrong place...Anyway I have been trying to download version 1.20.04 for a long time now and can't get it to work...Here is the link I have been at- http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Other-DRIVERS-TOOLS/Others/Creative-ALchemy-12004.shtml I have downloaded the bittorent client like it asked but it still won't let me install it...

Thanks.
