Need help with a new pc (build)

Hey Guys,

I now have the money for a new pc so am looking for someone too help me either find a good prebuilt pc or the components for one. I know next too nothing about building a pc though.

My budget lets say is £1k but I can go over too around 1.3k if needed (really rather not but yeah).

This will be a gaming pc and also used for design.

The current build I am looking at on dinopc.com, consists of...

CPU - Intel Core i7 3770K
OS
16GB Corsair 1600mhz Vengeance (4x4GB)
1TB HD
680gtx
A wireless 300mb card
850W PSU
Gigabyte Z68X-UD5
3year warranty

For 1.3k exactly but their are bits and bobs I can take away and let it drop too 1.1k.

I dont want below 8gb ram (ideally 16) and I pretty much want too go for the 680 really..

thanks dude, makes sense, will wait and see what the 670 looks at, what I5 processor you got in mind i52500k? or 3750? also is the motherboard alright? dont really know much about this sort of sutff

Get the 3750k and get a z77 board, theres the Asrock z77 for cheaper (its a sister company of ASUS).

I will say look at Amazon UK for those parts you listed but instead get 8 instead of 16gb since 8 are more than enough and you can always easily and cheap upgrade later Also i would go for a gtx670 ( though you will have to wait 10-15 days to be released ) since from early reviews seem to be only 10% slower but it should be about 70-80 pounds cheaper Then i would drop to a decent 700-750W psu instead of 850W ( unless you plan to add a second gpu for sli ) to save abit money You can also save money by getting the i5 Cpu since for games it offers identical performance as the i7 and only a few specific apps will take advantage of i7's more threads With all that you can probably build it for about 800-850pounds adamosmaki

if hes going for the 670 gtx, may as well get the radeon 7970, same performance or better than the 670gtx, same cost and comes with free games.

I will be most likely going for the i5 going on what everyone says waiting for the 670 pricepoint atm
