I just got an AMD HD6670, I have a 1280x1024 monitor but I sometimes like to play games at 1280x960 so I can get a few extra FPS. When I play my games if I set it at 1280x960 it just stretches the image to fit the screen what I want is to just leave small black bars along the top and the bottom of the screen but I can't seem to figure out how to do this with an AMD card. I had no issues doing it with my old nvidia card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

Running the game in windowed mode should work, but it wont be black surrounding the game.

AMD Control Centre
(you may need to temporarily lower resolution to 1024x768 here)
My Digital Flat-Panels
Properties
Enable GPU scaling
Maintain aspect ratio
(change your resolution back if you need to)

I'm not sure if there's a way with VGA displays :( Though I suppose there's always google and there might be an option with your monitor somewhere.
